This 10-day Kazakhstan journey turned out to be one of the most rewarding trips we have taken in recent years. What impressed us most was how naturally the itinerary moved from one type of experience to another. We began with Almaty and its relaxed city atmosphere, then gradually moved into the mountain landscapes, alpine lakes, canyon scenery, Silk Road monuments, and finally the modern architecture of Astana. It really felt like discovering several different faces of one country in a single route. Charyn Canyon and Kaindy Lake were unforgettable, but I was equally surprised by how much I enjoyed Turkestan and Otrar. Those places gave the trip real historical depth. Serik managed the program very professionally and made the entire route feel comfortable, balanced, and thoughtfully organized.

We chose this tour because we wanted something that combined nature, culture, and comfort, and it absolutely delivered. Traveling as a family, we needed an itinerary that was active but still manageable, and this one was well designed in that sense. Big Almaty Lake was beautiful, Shymbulak and Medeu added a mountain atmosphere we loved, and the days around Charyn, Kolsai, and Kaindy were some of the most scenic of our entire trip. What really elevated the experience for me, though, was the cultural side — Turkestan, the mausoleums, and the Silk Road heritage gave the journey much more meaning than a standard sightseeing tour. The welcome dinner and local food experiences were also a lovely part of the program. Olzhas was patient, warm, and very good at making a longer multi-day route feel easy for everyone.

This tour gave me a much deeper impression of Kazakhstan than I could ever have gotten from separate short excursions. I liked that the itinerary was not built around just one theme. It was not only a nature trip, not only a cultural route, and not only a city tour — it was a strong combination of all three. Big Almaty Lake was stunning, Charyn Canyon was dramatic in the best way, and Kaindy had one of the most unusual landscapes I have ever seen. Then later the atmosphere shifted toward history and architecture, especially in Turkestan, which felt completely different from the earlier mountain and canyon days. By the time we reached Astana, it almost felt like we had traveled through several countries rather than one. Aset was calm, knowledgeable, and excellent at keeping the experience smooth without making it feel overly structured.

This was exactly the kind of tour I had hoped for when planning a longer trip through Kazakhstan. It covered the country in a way that felt rich and varied, but not chaotic. I especially appreciated the contrast between the locations. One day we were enjoying panoramic views from Kok-Tobe and having dinner in Almaty, and not long after that we were standing in Charyn Canyon and later sitting by the lakes surrounded by silence and mountain air. The evening in Saty by the campfire was one of the warmest memories of the whole trip — simple, relaxed, and very special after a long scenic day. The transition later into Shymkent, Turkestan, and Otrar gave the trip another layer entirely, and then Astana finished everything with a completely different mood again. Serik was reliable, friendly, and clearly very experienced with this type of longer itinerary.

We were looking for a route that would show us Kazakhstan in a broad and meaningful way, and this one really did that. The natural highlights were as impressive as expected — Big Almaty Lake, Charyn Canyon, Kolsai, Kaindy, Medeu, and Shymbulak all deserved their place in the program — but I think what surprised us more was the historical part. Turkestan had a completely different atmosphere from Almaty, and visiting the Silk Road sites made the trip feel much more layered and memorable. It did not feel like a simple holiday of “nice places and photo stops,” but more like a journey through landscapes, history, local identity, and modern city life. The balance between activity and comfort was also very well judged. Olzhas handled everything with confidence and kept the entire trip flowing in a very natural way.
