The Zhashtar Theater is a youth theater in Astana, founded in 2007. It strives for innovation, presenting both classic and modern performances, and actively participates in festivals and tours. The artistic director is Nurkanat Zhakypbay.

History

The Zhasar Theater is one of the young and creative centers of art, which has marked its place in Kazakh theatrical art with its diversity and innovation. In just 16 years of its history, the theater has won 16 Grand Prix at international and republican competitions, demonstrating the determination and creative ambition of the young team. The Zhasar Theater was founded on July 5, 2007, with the support of the city administration. The temple of art first opened its curtain with the play "Genghis Khan" by Chingiz Aitmatov and Abish Kekilbayev (adaptation by Zhanish Kulmambetov, directed by the Honored Figure of Kazakhstan Nurkanat Zhakypbay). Ninety-nine percent of the theater's actors are graduates of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov, students of the workshop of Professor, Honored Educator of the Republic of Kazakhstan, director Nurkanat Zhakypbay. The founders and the first to step onto the stage of the young theater are the young, yet already experienced generation of the theatrical team - Honored Figure of Kazakhstan Dauren Sergazin, Honored Figure of Kazakhstan Adil Akhmetov, holder of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan scholarship Zhandaulet Batay, holder of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan scholarship Ainur Rakhipova, holder of the "Labor Glory" badge Azamat Eskulov, holder of the anniversary badge "Patriot of Kazakhstan" Bakyt Khadzhybaev, and holders of the "Honor" certificate from the professional union Madina Mai and Makhabat Madgulova.
History
