History
Astana Opera is a symbol of cultural greatness and inspiration of Kazakhstan. The State Opera and Ballet Theater "Astana Opera" was opened in 2013 at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. "Astana Opera" is the largest theater in Central Asia, built with consideration of the best classical traditions of world architecture, while emphasizing the Kazakh national color in its design; its technical equipment meets world standards.
