The Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a unique cultural institution that reflects the country's independence, its political development, and the establishment of state institutions. The museum reveals the key stages in the formation of independent Kazakhstan and its role in international relations. History
The Museum of the First President is located in the building of the "Nazarbayev Center," embodying the bright architectural idea of Sir Norman Foster. The building represents a huge eye directed towards the sky. According to the architect's concept, the unique appearance of the structure symbolizes the vitality of Kazakhstan. The museum's exhibition is based on an extensive collection of archival documents, photographs, video materials, and exhibits dedicated to various stages of the life and activities of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the history of Kazakhstan's independence. The museum halls showcase collections of state and public awards of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; diplomatic gifts, and book editions presented as gifts from heads of foreign states and governments, as well as international organizations. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions.
