Shymbulak was definitely a highlight, especially the gondola ride and mountain views, but we also loved the contrast of the city days. A very smart itinerary for anyone who wants to see Almaty without feeling rushed. We had time for the mountains, city landmarks, local shopping, and also some free moments to enjoy the atmosphere. The visit to Zenkov Cathedral and Panfilov Park added a nice cultural side to the trip, while Kok-Tobe in the evening was just beautiful. Olzhas was patient, warm, and especially helpful with our family schedule.
